Poems on Women’s Day

She gave life. She is a wife.

She is a mother and she is a friend.
She is a sister a survivor to the end.
Appreciate her, we don’t dare.
Ask her worries, we don’t care.
Wipe away her tears, they are invisible as air.
She works cooks and clean.
She laughs, helps comfort, and hides her pain.
When you struggle she pulls you through
All this is she and what do we do?
Complain and create a mess.
Provide stress and leave her feeling depressed..
Push her away and ignore her advice.
Tell her she is nothing without thinking twice.
She was raped tortured and abused.
Told she was nothing and would always be used just for pleasure forget her pain.
She swallows her pride, put her feelings aside.
Does as you need in order for you to be free.
Ignores your ignorance and tolerates your flaws.
You call her Bitch, Slut, Hoe and Tramp
She answers with pride dignity and a complete loss of self.
You call her nothing.
I call her Strong, Smart, carnal, Caring, Giving, Surviving, Tolerant and powerful
I call her WOMAN!

Her flame was only for the women –

Not for us unlucky men;
A weakness lay for feminine way:
To feel an even fairer skin
In silky slide.

Her lips were for the satin love that
Only flows from rising breast;
The creamy tan was not for man
To pull towards a chiselled chest
In weathered hide.

Her hidden treasure down below
Would shy away from macho length
And only rouse upon the blouse
Undone by other sapphic strength –
In time, inside!

Sweet memories haunt me, roaming into the thoughts of my past

I scan through my life, from first to last.
Through the days of struggle, my mom held my hand
Till I grew up and on my feet could stand.
As I traveled through the interiors of the land,
Through the forests and plains and fiery sand.
The sun that rose from the east looked beautiful red,
But the plight of women was not as said.
Though Sania & Aishwarya have won acclaim,
We still don’t treat the girls and boys as same.
Why then should there be female foeticide
With the parents wanting to see a boy on their side.
In the name of religion and society our minds are stuck
Ethics, norms, beliefs, we have gone into the muck.
Mother, sister, wife, daughter are a part of our life Love,
compassion, sacrifice, they have been with us through strife.

Women, rise, we are with you.
There is light at the end and a morning of dew.
We will all stand and salute the girl child
For the hand that rocks the cradle, rules the world.

Can someone give me real woman!

A woman with an original body
Breast, hips, lips, face
everything original
I want a real woman
Not the woman on the magazine
Cause they not real
Want a woman who is proud Of her body
A woman who respects her body
a woman who cares more
About her inner beauty
Cause that’s the most important part of who she is
A woman who wears make up
Not a mask
A real African woman
Areal coloured women
A real white woman
A real Indian woman
Areal Chinese woman
A woman!
The pillar
A woman created by God and who has his nature
